Guideline for Full Paper Submission

General Requirements

• All the oral speakers (including the invited speakers and the selected oral speakers) are requested to submit a full paper limited to 10,000 words including the figures and tables. All the full papers will be included in congress proceedings.


• With authors’ permission, some original papers will be recommended to publish in The Crop Journal, a bimonthly scientific journal, Open Access in ScienceDirect and no publication fee including color figures and plates. All the recommended manuscripts will be peer-reviewed by two or more anonymous reviewers and the final acceptance or rejection will be decided by the Editorial Board.


• Please log in 7th ICSC website www.7icsc.com.cnby June 15, 2016 to submit your manuscript as Word file (Microsoft Word 2000 or above). Papers received after the deadline may not be included.

Preparation of manuscripts

The manuscripts should be formatted in Microsoft Word. All pages should be numbered consecutively in the bottom right-hand corner, beginning with the title page.

Manuscripts in general should be organized in the following order:

  • • Title
  • • Name(s) of author(s)
  • • The affiliations at which the work was carried out and their postal addresses
  • • Abstract (200–300 words) followed by 4–7 keywords
  • • Introduction
  • • Materials and Methods
  • • Results
  • • Discussion
  • • Conclusions (optional)
  • • Acknowledgments
  • • References

    • Text
      1. Use 10.5 point Times New Roman for the paper body with different style at different part of the paper as indicated in each section.
      2. Use single spacing and black ink.
      3. Fit on A4 (210 mm × 297 mm) page, with 2.0 cm margins top and bottom, and 2.5 cm margins left and right.
    • Headings and sections
      1. Paper title: Left-aligned in font size 14 and bold. Leave one blank line below the title.
      2. Authors’ names: Left-aligned in 10.5 point Times New Roman and underline the presenting author. Mark the corresponding author with superscripted asterisk. The author’s first name should be followed by his last name. More than one author from different affiliations should be numbered by letters, superscripted after the author’s name. Leave one blank line below the authors’ names.
      3. Authors’ affiliations: Left-aligned in 9 point Times New Roman. More than one affiliation should be indicated by letters, consistent with the superscripts of the author name. Please state the corresponding author’s e-mail address at the end.
      4. Abstract heading: 9 point Times New Roman, bold.
      5. Abstract body: 9 point normal Times New Roman.
      6. Keywords heading: 9 point Times New Roman, bold.
      7. Keywords: 9 point normal Times New Roman. The number of keywords will be 4–7.
      8. Section headings: Use font size of 12 point and bold, left-aligned, capitalized initials of the first word. The headings of subsection should be 10.5 point and bold. Both the section and subsection headings should be numbered.
    • Figures
      1. All figures should be cited in the text.
      2. Each figure should be consecutively numbered (Fig. 1, 2, 3, etc.) with a left justified caption below the figure, and the font used in caption is 9 point size and bold.
      3. Figures should be included in the text, but please do not include the caption as part of the graphic. The maximum length and width are 240 mm (not including the caption) and 170 mm, respectively for a full page.
      4. Digital copies of photos should be supplied as high resolution (not less than 300 DPI) and save as JPG and other compatible format of PHOTOSHOP.
    • Tables
      1. All tables should be cited in the text.
      2. Each table should be consecutively numbered (Table 1, 2, 3, etc.) with a left justified caption above the table, and the font used in caption is 9 point and bold Times New Roman.
      3. All letters and numbers in the table are in 9 point and normal Times New Roman.
    • Equations
      1. Equations should be numbered consecutively and flush left, enclosing the numbers in parentheses (x) and flush right. Please do not use automatic numbering.

    • References
    • The references should only include works that have been published or accepted for publication. Unpublished data and “personal communications” should not be listed in the references but may be mentioned in the text. References cited in the text should be numbered in the order of citation. All authors’ names should be listed in the reference list. If the works are not published in English, the actual language should be indicated in parentheses. The font is 9 point and normal Times New Roman.
